Attack the Dam Complex is a Mission in Armored Core 6. Attack the Dam Complex is one of the two missions you'll unlock after completing both Destroy the Transport Helicopters and Destroy the Tester AC. The main objective of this mission is to attack one of the Liberation Front's bases and destroy their infrastructures. You will be joining an operation spearheaded by Balam HQ and will be accompanied by 2 allies G4 Volta and G5 Iguazu. In this mission, you will bear the callsign G13 and the mission takes place at Southern Belius - Gallia Dam Complex. Please see Missions for full walkthroughs on other missions.

Full Attack the Dam Complex Walkthrough

Mission Description

Why don't you start a sewing club together... and stitch that damn mouth of yours shut!" — G1 Michigan

Balam has specially chosen you to take part in an operation against the RLF. Heading to the Gallia Dam Complex, you’ll join up with two in-house pilots from the Balam Redguns: G4 Volta and G5 Iguazu, whom you’ll assist in destroying a series of generators around the dam that are supplying the RLF with energy. The enemies you’ll encounter use a combination of explosive and kinetic damage, including the enemy AC defending one of the final targets, but there’s an optional encounter with a Heavy MT that also uses an energy-based laser blade.

The mission takes place in an open area with increasing levels of elevation as you progress through the complex, with each level sealed off by a different section of the dam complex. Your allies will often take the lead and openly engage enemies as they reach them, so you can use them to take some of the heat off you. This is especially important due to the fact that there are no checkpoints in this mission, and since the enemies are already in established elevated positions, the extra breathing room they give you is more than welcome.

You will be presented with a choice during the mission.

The RLF contacts you and offers you double pay to betray Dafeng by destroying G4 Volta & G5 Iguazu.

Come prepared as they are no chumps. Furthermore as soon as you agree to double-cross them the (previously enemy) MTs in the mission will become immune to damage until you attack one of the two Redguns.

Strategically, a good approach is to alpha strike one of the two Redguns hard then kite them into the other RLF forces further into the mission.

At the end of the mission Walter and Michigan have some chatter during which Walter says "You can bill me for the AC repair costs", which is reflected in the mission finish summary screen. After the mission Iguazu sends you a nastygram. The game voice lines & text indicate both Redgun AC pilots survive.

Recommended Assembly

Your ally ACs during this mission will take the role of front-line assault so it's recommended you swap out your usual HI-32: BU-TT/A with the MG-014 LUDLOW for a bit more range. This machine gun will help you quickly finish off opponents that have been weakened by your allies or by your own missiles, this is a good option to consider because of its rate of fire and it packs enough punch to easily take out smaller enemies as well. The rest of the loadout for this build remains the same as the previous ones.

Annihilate enemy MT squad / Destroy target facilities

In this mission, you will be accompanied by 2 allies G4 Volta and G5 Iguazu. The main objective is to participate in an attack planned by Balam HQ on one of the Liberation Front bases, the Gallia Dam Complex. You will be tasked to destroy infrastructures while eliminating any enemies that you will find in the area. At the start of the mission, you will be briefed by G1 Michigan and he will give you the callsign Gun13 (G13) for this specific mission. Handler Walter stays in touch with you and expresses that he prefers 621, or your original unit name.

After the briefing ends, players will now regain control of their mech once the combat mode is activated. The mission will begin once you have landed in the Gallia Dam Complex where you will be fighting RLF soldiers and MTs. Your target infrastructures will be marked on your screen. Destroy them and keep following the green markers that will appear. Your allies will engage in conversation as you continue the mission and you will be forced to listen in to them.

Enemies will be on guard in the location so be on the lookout for them. Make sure to utilize your boost and use them to engage enemies. After destroying 2 infrastructures on the mainland, you will be moving to another island across that one. Enemies will attack you from all directions so make use of your environment and dodge as you need.

Next up, while you are on your way to the 4th target, you and your allies will be intercepted by an enemy AC called Index Dunham. The boss fight will begin and the 3 of you will attack him together. This fight will happen on a giant ice field where the space is wide open. You can freely boost and slide across the field or fly up to gain the height needed. The boss tries to engage in a conversation with you, addressing you as a mercenary and questioning your allegiance to such corporations. When the boss is defeated, he will address a certain Father Dolmayan as if asking for forgiveness for failing him.

Afterward, you will proceed to the target marked on your screen. You will see one of the catapults that you have used previously to reach the target above you. Destroying the 4th infrastructure will mark the mission as completed and you will be rewarded with 150,000 Coam.
