Destroy the Ice Worm is a Mission in Armored Core 6. Destroy the Ice Worm is the last mission in Chapter 3 that you can unlock after completing all three missions after Attack the Old Spaceport. The main objective of this mission is to destroy the Ice Worm, a massive weapon deployed by the Planetary Closure Administration. Arquebus will provide a prototype weapon to ensure breach of the Ice Worm's Coral shielding. Your shoulder weapon will automatically be VE-60SNA ("Stun Needle Launcher") for this mission. Please see Missions for a full walkthrough on other missions.

Full Destroy the Ice Worm Walkthrough

Mission Description

It's not every day you see competing forces working together like this." — Handler Walter

 

This mission will be a joint operation led by Balam Industries and Arquebus Corporation. V.II will start off by giving some background information before going into the details. The intercorporate ceasefire is now in effect and we will be carrying out coordinated attacks against the PCA. The targets will be the enemy-occupied bases. This is an all-out war against the PCA in theater across Rubicon. You will be tasked with hunting down the Ice Worm. Carla explains how you can neutralize the Ice Worm's Coral Shield. She says you'll be dealing with a layered barrier made up of a primary and a secondary shield, Arquebus will provide the means to break the first layer, which is why you have the VE-60SNA ("Stun Needle Launcher") shoulder weapon, you will need to aim this straight to the Ice Worm's face. For the second layer, Carla says RaD's got something called the Overed Rail Cannon. The plan is, if we can divert the spaceport's standby power to the ORC, it should hit hard enough assuming they can land the shot.
