Full Infiltrate Grid 086 Walkthrough

Mission Description

Let's get to work, shall we?" — Ayre

Balam Industries requested that you carry out an advance survey of the Central Ice Field to confirm the information that Walter brought to them about the Coral convergence. And in order to cross the Alean Ocean, you'll be using the intercontinental cargo launcher installed on the upper level of Grid 086. Once you reach the area, it'll be occupied by a group called the Dosers, these are outlaws who treat Coral like a drug. Grid 086 is also the territory of RaD, a belligerent group of arms dealers.

    • There are two hidden data logs, rarely mentioned in walkthroughs.

One can be found by going one level below the two heavy MTs that you encounter after Invincible Rummy, they are next to the area with the two tetrapods and they both count as bronze combat logs each. Finish them off, then look in the depths to find a wreck on a distant railing below, with a data log ("Dozer Ravings").

The other data log is inside the pipe where the molten metal is pouring from (right before a checkpoint). You have to go in an out fast to collect that data log ("Video Record: The Collector's Last Words") from the wreck, as standing in lava rapidly kills your health.

      • Bonus Pay: 566,800

        Defeated Debt-Barton Nosaac: 40,000
        Generic weaponry destroyed: 24,800
        Artillery destroyed: 8,000
        Light MTs destroyed: 242,400
        Heavy MTs destroyed: 161,600
        ACs destroyed: 30,000
        Special heavy craft destroyed: 60,000

        • For anyone confused about the locations of the hidden AC parts, they start appearing after you enter the building with the low hanging ceiling (the one with all the pipes and molten lava):

          1. You'll drop down a big hole in the floor pretty soon after entering the building. There will be two of those roly-poly robot guys, and the first part is located behind a pillar that's behind you when you drop down. Look for the flickering lights, they sort of guide you to it.

          2. Progress through that building and you'll come across a big molten lava-pouring bucket thing. There are two pipes on either side of the lava bucket thing: one that's pouring lava and one that's not. In the one that's pouring lava, you'll find a combat log. In the one that's NOT pouring lava, there's a path to an AC battle and the second part. I'm pretty sure you have to get this part before you unlock the door that exits the building with the low-hanging ceiling, but I could be wrong.

          3. On the other side of the big molten lava-pouring bucket thing, there are a few MTs that have electric attacks. They're guarding a part, the box is in the middle of the little arena on that side of the molten lava-pouring bucket thing.

          4. After you exit the building with the low-hanging ceiling and molten lava-pouring bucket thing, Carla will do her spiel about "you can't find anyone nowadays" or whatever. Cross over the gap to the next floating structure thing, hit up the Spiritspring jumper thing if you wanna, and go to the right of where your next objective marker is. There are two different levels here IIRC, and the last part is on the second level. If you do accidentally enter the arena marked by the objective marker (i.e. the ones with dropping fire-bombs overhead), you can get to this section on the right via a ramp.

          • Just FYI there is a collectible Frame Set you can find throughout the level in Item Crates. They're usually off the path and have bright teal lights on them. If you have a hard time finding them try getting high up and looking for a bright teal light surrounded by enemies =)
