Mission Description
...Now they're asking for you by name." — Handler Walter
Balam’s subsidiary, Dafeng, has taken a combat role against the RLF in this region and Balam wants to recruit you to lend them some much needed support. The area of operation contains three transport helicopter sites, each of which is defended by higher volumes of enemies than you may have previously encountered, consisting of light MTs, artillery, armored combat vehicles, and one Heavy MT. The map is mostly open with some structures and buildings allowing for cover, but the variable heights of these structures as well as a wooded section at the beginning of the mission will have an impact on your ability to spot threats, so heavy use of your scan is recommended. Although not required for the mission, if you want to maximise your bonus pay, it’s worth taking a trip back down into the city to destroy the enemies still patrolling within its walls.
Recommended Assembly
The enemies you'll encounter during this mission will prove to be more difficult than the previous ones you've faced so far, so it's recommended that you spend some of the COAM you've accumulated to purchase a few upgrades for your mech. The DF-BA-06 XUAN-GE will give you additional damage as it hits hard and is especially useful for tougher enemies. An additional BML-G1/P20MLT-04 will help you tackle the increased number of enemies during this mission. The HI-32: BU-TT/A will help you dispatch some of the shield-wielding enemies more easily, while also giving you a good close-range option. You can swap out the HI-32: BU-TT/A for the MG-014 LUDLOW if you prefer to stick with medium-range combat. You can unlock this after you complete the first set of training missions and purchase the L-Arm version from the Parts Shop. The FCS-G2/P10SLT will prove useful as it greatly reduces the lock-on times when targeting enemies. You'll be using a lot of missiles with this build so this FCS will prove useful. The DF-GN-02 LING-TAI will vastly improve your EN recharge and supply recovery specs for only a minor EN capacity reduction, which makes the overall trade-off worth it.

Destroy All Transport Helicopters
As you start the mission, you will be placed on top of a cliff. You will be able to see a squad of light MTs patrolling the area on the ground, guarding the first helicopter you need to destroy. They will be too far to engage from here, so use your Assault Boost to reach the rooftops near the helicopter.
Once you reach the rooftop, you'll get an excellent vantage point and you can easily take out the enemies from here. The light MTs will try to reach you by jumping over the rooftop, so make sure to use your scanner to keep an eye on them before they can engage you. Destroy the first helicopter and proceed to the next one.
From the rooftop, you will see the area where the next helicopter is located. You'll also notice a blockade in front of it with numerous light MTs and other support units, including a pair of artillery missile arrays.
It's recommended to flank around the area as making a direct approach would be dangerous because of the artillery. Find an elevated position to give you an advantage on both the enemies and artilleries down below. This will make things easier for you and will allow you to bypass the shields of some units carrying them. Be wary as they can still jump to your location and block your shots. If you move from the front of those buildings on the other side, you will have the opportunity to eliminate two light MTs positioned on the cliffs between you and the last group of helicopters.
The final set of helicopters are located in the same area where you faced the AH12: HC HELICOPTER in Illegal Entry, but it is not advisable to use a direct approach as you'll immediately be under fire from the light MTs guarding the area.
You can jump across the rooftop from where you're located and destroy the light MTs, then use your Assault Boost toward the vertical catapult and use it to reach the top of the structure and eliminate the remaining helicopters from there. Once you've destroyed all the transport helicopters, the mission will be completed.
